Artisan Wednesday Wow Blog Hop- Tiny Note Boxes

Welcome to Artisan Wow Wednesday Blog Hop!
You've probably just arrived here from Cindy Beach's Blog!
I can't wait to see what she comes up with each week!  Isn't she great!?!?

Today's project is my favorite of this box! It was actually the first thing I made and it's been really hard holding it till then end!!

I again used the Boutique Boxes Designer Printed Kit. I used some of the die cut elements mixed in with DSP from Parker's Pattern DSP as well as the Collage Curious stamp set.

So what is it you ask? Well, each box holds a set of small note cards for quick notes. I was thinking, a quick note to a teacher, or a friend. Just something you can grab and jot something down quickly. I thought it would be nice to hang in your family's "command center."

To decorate the front of the boxes, I used the Delicate Doily Dies, the 1 " punch, the 1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch, as well as the buttons and diecuts that come in the kit.

The main colors are Regal Rose and Daffodil Delight. Don't they go well together!

Here is a picture with all the little note cards.
One has my personalized stamp.

The rest feature the stamp set that's included in the Boutique Boxes Bundle, A Little Greeting...
As well as Collage Curious.

And there you have it! I hope you love it and it inspires you to use the Boutique Boxes a little bit differently!

Up next is the amazing Heather Summer's! Make sure to hop on over to her blog to see what wonderful things she is doing!

Just look at that sweet little dress form! I love it!

We'd love to see what you can do with the sketch this week! Please make sure to hop over to Hand Stamped Sentiments to check out what the other fabulous designers have done!

A Little Bit of Spring (FMU 98)

Are you ready for Spring? Well, it's unofficially been spring here for at least a month. We've had a very warm winter, even by South Texas standards! But, I'm not complaining! This week's challenge at the Friday Mash Up includes bunnies! Yep, Easter is right around the corner!

So here is the "Mashup" Challenge:
  1. Make a project "using the Sketch".
  2. Or Make a project with "Bunnies".
  3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a project with the "Sketch featuring Bunnies".

I'm always happy when there is a sketch challenge! But, this one had me struggling! My card is based on the sketch, but it evolved a little before I was done...

I love this little bunny set in the Occasions catalog. it is called A Little bit of Spring. It's a line image, which requires you to color it in. If you are intimidated by these kids of stamps, like I used to be, make sure you watch my mom's coloring tutorial. It's very helpful! The little flowers were punched with one of the Itty Bitty Punches.

I also used the Vine Street Embossing Folder (a free SAB item) and the uber-cute DSP called  Tea for Two. I finished it off with some Linen Thread. I thought is gave it a nice Earthy feel.

I hope you will join us this week at The Friday Mash Up. Wed love to see what you can come up with!

Artisan Wednesday Wow Blog Hop- Candy Bar Holder

Welcome to Artisan Wow Wednesday Blog Hop!
You've probably just arrived here from Cindy Beach's Blog!
She creates such beautiful things!

This month's surprise box included the Parker' Patterns DSP.as well as the Boutique Boxes Designer Printed Kit. I was very intimidated by this kit. I have a hard time venturing away from a pre-given sample! Once I see it, I can't think of anything else! So, these little boxes were my BIG challenge!

I decided to take two boxes and create one long box. It was pretty simple to adhere them together using the flaps and some Sticky Strip. I then covered up the "seam" with some Parker's Patterns DSP. I used some of the diecut stickers from the kit as trim behind the paper.

Also included in this month's box from SU is one of my very favorite stamp sets form the Occasions Catalog; Feels Good. It's such a beautiful set with such beautiful sayings! I used one of them as the tag. I finished it off with some Designer Fabric and a button from the Boutique Boxes Kit.

When you put these two boxes together, they fit two Hersey's Candy Bars PERFECTLY! What a fancy way to dress up two regular candy bars! Who wouldn't be excited about this little gift? I know I would!

Up next is the amazing Heather Summer's! Make sure to hop on over to her blog to see what wonderful things she is doing!
