Friday Mash Up- Distressed Lined Paper

Happy Good Friday everyone!
I LOVE the challenge we have this week at The Friday Mash Up. I adore lined paper so I look for any excuse to use it!
Here's your Mashup Challenge:
  1. Create a project using "Lined paper (Notebook, Graph, Spreadsheet etc.)".
  2. Create a project that has a "Distressed appearance".
  3. Or Mash it Up and create a project with "Lined paper that's Distressed looking".

I used pieces from the For the record Simply Scrappin Kit. This is an adorable kit!
I also used several stamps: Round Arrays, Greeting Card Kids and Loving Thoughts.
I embossed the sentiment with Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder.
And there is the little Round Array stamp. Again, it coordinates with the 7/8" Punch- love it!!

Make sure you hook up with us at The Friday Mash Up this week. this is a GREAT challenge!

Round Array and Dynamic Duos

Good Thursday morning! it's my Friday! Woot!
But, I've got to get through a Field Trip with my Firsties today first! Eek!

Today's card is a very PINK one. I do love my pink, and Regal Rose has been my go to color lately, Love it!

I used my Honey Comb folder for the background. If you emboss DSP with a shim, it pushed thought the paper enough so that you can just punch those hexagons right out of the paper! I did have to clean them up a bit, but and easy way to make a background!

I wanted to play with the new Spring Surprise set SU released called A Round Array. I love this little set because it coordinates with the 7/8" Scallop Circle punch!
A Round Array Clear-mount Stamp Set

This card was inspired by the colors this week at Dynamic Duos. It's a color couple right down my alley!

Wednesday Wow Artisan Blog Hop- Secret Garden

Welcome to Artisan Wow Wednesday Blog Hop!

You've probably just arrived here from Cindy Beach's Blog
Her creativity and such beauty in what she creates never ceases to amaze me!

I again focused on Secret Garden Bundle this week. Flowers are always an easy go to when you need embellishments on a scrapbook page. These were no exception.

I used the Secret Garden Framelits to cut just DSP flowers (Polka Dot Parade) as well as cut our stamped flowers from the coordinating stamp set.

I stamped the leaves image on the background DSP (First edition) and sprinkled other embellishments in with the flowers. I used mostly buttons. I also colored the 5/8 Flower Trim with Old Olive Marker. I spritzed it with water to create a softer look (Check out my fellow Artisan Jeanna Bohana's blog for a little tutorial!)

I also added some Basic Jewels. I used the "strips" of jewels and just kind of shaped them into the way I wanted.
I used the Letter It stamp set for the title. This set is my go to for titles because it is so easy to cut out by hand.

This page has LOTS of dimension!
One last thing from my Artisan Box I used this month is the Borders Scoring Plate. Wow! Look at that detail! It is easy to use, once you get used to it. A few tips: Adhere the paper down with removable adhesive or blue painters tape. And, rub your paper down with wax paper. It helps the stylus to just glide along much easier. Give it a try!

Up next is the amazing Heather Summer's!
Make sure to hop on over to her blog to see what wonderful things she is doing!

Come a Tide- Hand Stamped Sentiments

It's Tuesday! That means, another Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge!

Alright, I admit...my card strayed from the sketch a bit. But, you can still see it right?

I love this new set called By the Tide. When I saw Shannon West demo it at the Dallas Regionals, I immediately ordered it. It's fun and easy to stamp. The Crumb Cake card is part of the Pop Up Osies Kit. I am hoarding these little guys! I LOVE them! And I really love that it's cut and ready to go. Makes creating so simple!

Did you notice the Chevron pattern? Well, that's one of the techniques you will learn at Stamptastic next month. Have you registered?

Alright! Make sure you hop over to Hand Stamped Sentiments and see what the other amazing designers have come up with. Can't wait to see your creation!

Fab Fabric!

Ok, so I'm sure you know by now, but Stampin' Up put their fabric on sale 50%! Have you used it before? I love it! It's great for little sewing projects, but it's REALLY GREAT for making wide ribbon to replace the retired striped ribbon. Just rip a strip off of one of those fat quarters and you've got some "ribbon!"

Here's some eye candy for ya to give you some ideas on how to use it! You can see all of these projects in more detail when you click the Fabric Label on the right side of this post. You can also get some more ideas on my Fabirc Pinterest Board!

Lanyard tutorial available (Free, y'all!) under my Tutorials tab at the top.
She is not on sale! She's MINE! ;-)

These two are in my Hearts a Flutter Project Planner (see tab at top pf page!)

Flowers!

Ok, I didn't make the bag, but SU did. And it's CUTE! I wish I could sew that well!

So, give it a try! All of it is cheap right now, so what's the risk?? Order HERE. Make sure to designate me, Erica Cerwin, as your Demo! I'll send you a little surprise in the mail! ;-)
